QUESTION

wage garnishment for second judgment

Asked on Aug 21st, 2017 on Collections - Florida
More details to this question:
my wife has a wage garnishment against her here in FL that will be satisfied in a few months. a second creditor obtained a judgment two years ago and also filed for a garnishment. her employer replied to the court they could NOT garnish the second judgment as she already had a garnishment taking the full legal amount. MY QUESTION is THIS upon Certificate of Service to her employer that the first garnishment is satisfied, IS HER EMPLOYER automatically required to honor the second garnish request from 2 years ago or WILL the second judgment creditor need a new garnishment order

It won't necessarily matter as the creditor is likely aware of the expiration of the first and will pursue the second pretty quickly.
