QUESTION

What income is exempt from a bank levy?

Asked on Feb 10th, 2014 on Collections - New York
More details to this question:
My DBA checking account was levied to satisfy a personal credit card debt from 10 years ago. The letter from my bank said 90% of income earned in the last 60 days is exempt. What constitutes income? My account contains checks from customers written out to my company's name. I don't pay myself by check; I just take a draw via ATM. Can I declare those business checks exempt?
