QUESTION

Can a court force the method of communication

Asked on Jul 28th, 2021 on Divorce - Colorado
More details to this question:
My ex-wife just filed a motion to ask the court to make me use TalkingParents app... I don't have much communication with her, and when I do, I email her. I guess she is uncomfortable with emailing me. But I'm uncomfortable using TalkingParents... I won't check it. Can a court force me to use TalkingParents and am I wrong for not checking it.

Yes, the Court can mandate parents use Talking Parents for communication.  It can also specify a time frame within which communication must be answered.  If the Court does include such provisions in an Order, failure to abide by the Order could result in contempt of Court.   Sherri Murgallis Murgallis Law Firm, LLC 303-444-4353
