Can a Divorce lawyer allow payment later?

More details to this question:
A disabled woman is seeking a divorce lawyer. Her husband owes her for spousal support which the New York court ordered her estranged husband to pay. Her husband's attorney served her with a summons for a divorce. She has been married to this man for over 20 years and is entitled to alimony. Her estranged husband does not want to pay alimony.

Yes. There is no limitation on the attorney's ability to set up a payment plan. And under these circumstances it's possible that the husband would be required to pay all or part of her legal costs.
