My ex wife took me to court for her portion of my pension, that was awarded to her under the stipulation that her income had to be significantly reduced or she would retired, to qualify. The numbers didn't jive but the Judge awarded it to her anyway. She lied, just as I tried to tell them, and it's now evident from her W-2 that her significant reduction that she claims would be 20%, is nothing more than a mere $500 or less. Now I have to take it back to court and spend more money for attorney's fee to prove that she lied and is not eligable for the funds. What can I do to stop her from doing this again, and do I have any recourse for my expences?
If you can prove that your exwife lied in court it is very likely that you would be able to recove attorney fees. The difficulty is proving that in court.
