More details to this question:
Although my ex and I are divorced, I have been experiencing considerable harassment. Most notably, he has been blocking communication between my son and me. What can I do to stop this? Do I need some sort of post hearing court date? Can a lawyer help?

It depends on the type of harassment. If it constitutes threats, or rises to a level that causes you substantial emotional distress (i.e., you need to go to a counselor, are losing sleep, can?t eat, etc.) and you are afraid of him, then you may be able to obtain a Domestic Violence Protective Order. If he is simply interfering with you and your custodial time, being annoying and irritating, then you may need to simply get a custody order and hold him in contempt of the order if he is violating it. You should consult an attorney to at least find out what your range of options are.

A lawyer can help. Depending on the language of the divorce decree, for example, he might be held in contempt of court. Find a good family law attorney.

Yes, a lawyer can help. What you would be looking for is an injunction issued against your ex to stop him from interfering with the commissions between you and your son. It can be and it can be quickly. Good luck.
