Can I get in trouble for adultery in Florida?

More details to this question:
10 days after getting married, my husband when to prison. I had no idea he was going, but he knew. Since 2008 he has been in and out of jail, rehab and prison...our entire relationship. I am wanting a divorce as well but I believe I have to wait 6 months.

You have to have been a resident of Florida for six months. Adultery under these circumstances will probably not get you in trouble, except with the husband, and only if you are seeking alimony and have wasted marital assets away on the lover.

While adultery is technically illegal in Florida, it should not have an effect on anything because this is a no-fault state. You can file for divorce as long as you have been a resident of Florida for at least 6 months.
