Divorces are not annulled, marriages are. There would be no benefit that I can see in getting the marriage which was dissolved 12 years ago annulled. It has already been decided, and this should have been raised over a decade ago.

I would expect that it would be highly unlikely to get an annulment where you were divorced 12 years ago. The case was adjudicated already.

You can't get divorces annulled, only marriages. Since it was 12 years ago, it's a little late to undo the divorce. Furthermore, there would be no benefit to it.

If the divorce is not finalized here, then you can pursue an annulment on grounds of fraud and/or bigamy.

You question is confusing. Why would want to "annul" a divorce? If your ex- was married when he married you, your marriage to him was legally invalid. But, if you didn't know that and 12 years later you got a divorce instead of having the marriage declared invalid, it would not seem to make much difference now. There might be a procedure to have the divorce order cancelled, but that might create more, new issues.

There is no such thing as annulment in Washington state. Some churches "annul." There are "invalid" marriages. If you're divorced already there is nothing to invalidate. Legally, you need to move on. How you do so socially, morally, emotionally, mentally, etc. is not something the legal world will help you with unfortunately in Washington state.

If you have certified documentation he was married at the time you married him, you can get it annulled, otherwise you have to file for a divorce.
