Can my husband make me leave the state if we divorce?

We own a business together and he is trying to take it from me and make me leave the state.

I know of no legal basis for forcing anyone to leave any state under any circumstances, except in the case of some sort of immigration violation, in which case it would be up to the INS to take action, not a private citizen.

It is unlikely he can make you move. You do no indicate anything about the business. If the business is not located in Texas, you may need to be in the jurisdiction where the business is located to preserve that asset.

It is impossible answer your question given the lack of information you provided. Generally you should see an attorney and determine what your rights are. Following your divorce, it will be up to you, subject to various orders the court assuming you have children, whether or not he will be allowed to leave the state.

Neither party can force a spouse to leave the state as part of the divorce orders. I suggest you hire a lawyer.
