I am mid divorce and child custody proceedings and am losing faith in my lawyers professional ability. Therefore I am looking for honest opinions towards the pros and cons of changing my lawyer for the services of another. Thanks in advance for your opinion/s.

Where you are in the process matters, as does your reason for losing confidence. You should consider first having a direct and frank conversation with your current attorney, and also discussing your situation in detail with another attorney or two in your county. That way you'll be in a better position to examine whether your attorney is doing a good job and whether changing attorneys at this point would be worthwhile.
