My husband is asking for a divorce because he cheated and is now dating the other women we are no longer living together we have 2 children he is threating to take me to court for custody of the kids with no reason should I get a lawyer and go through court or go through the uncontested divorce? We only been married since may of this yr. He was verbally abusive to me. What can I do about support because he made me lose hours at work because he wanted me to be home more often..

If you are fighting over custody it is not going to be an uncontested divorce, and yes, you should get an attorney to represent you.
