My case is slightly different, I have many questions but my main question is after a year of marriage my spouse wants a divorce and has offered me $300 a month in support. Is this acceptable? We don't have any assets to split I.e a house or cars or children, however he works for the FBI and is paid fairly well around $3000 or more a month. And I feel although I'm entitled to more especially since I didn't initiate the divorce and he has left me to struggle.

If you've only been married for a year unless there's more (like children involved) $300 per month could be a lot more than a court would award.

Maintenance ("alimony") can be tied to a number of factors, including the length of the marriage, the standard set during the marriage, and your ability to support yourself.
