There is a provision under Nebraska law that allows for divorce by certification (if your Judge will allow it). This allows you to sign a joint statement under oath that recites the things you would otherwise testify to at live hearing. This may be an option for you depending on your circumstances. If children/joint custody are involved, however, most judges require live testimony. You both have a right to be at divorce court, but the court only needs to hear from one of you, so only one of you absolutely must attend (if it cannot be submitted on documents). Best wishes.
