How can a marriage considered legal?

More details to this question:
My judgement for divorce was entered on April 25, 2011 California & I remarried on June 28, 2011 in Nevada is my marriage legal?

So long as your Judgment was final before June 28th, then your remarriage is legal.

So long as your divorce was final in California before you remarried, you are legal It sounds like you are OK

If your judgment for divorce shows that the date you were single was April 25, 2011 and not a delayed date, the Nevada marriage would be legal provided you followed Nevada's rules, marriage license, etc. Check your judgment form for dates.

Because you married in Nevada it seems to be a question of whether Nevada regarded you as married or single on the day of the Nevada wedding.
