QUESTION

How do I get a postponement fast?

Asked on Dec 17th, 2014 on Divorce - Florida
More details to this question:
If in default, she gets all monies and an additional $28,000 which I donโ€™t have. I donโ€™t have any income as of yet. I have been looking and applying to everything. What are my options? It's like she/they are trying to make me penniless and homeless.

You don't really provide enough information to answer your question. A postponement of what? Default of what? Child support? Alimony? Equitable Distribution payments? Sit down with an attorney and discuss the specifics of your situation and let them review your documents, court orders, etc., so they can discuss your options with you.

File a motion for continuance and a motion for extension of time to respond to the complaint. Use of a lawyer is recommended.

Your question is not clear. Are you in default on your mortgage, or some other type of obligation?

Request a postponement hearing from the Judge. Motion For Postponement Hearing. I don?t know if it will work or not, but it is worth a try. Good luck.

This question is far too confusing to get an adequate answer. I have to know all of the circumstances.
