How long must I wait to remarry if my divorce is final?

My divorce finalized on May 1. How long must i wait to remarry in the state of California.

The day after the date on the judgment and notice of entry of judgment when status ends.

You can remarry as soon as the Notice of Entry of Judgment is filed with the court. This is a mandatory form and is different to your Judgment and Marital Settlement Agreement. Unless it's done, you are technically still married.

You can remarry after the Court enters judgment as to your status. You judgment paperwork will indicate the date that the divorce is entered and that you are to be returned to single status. You can remarry anytime after the date specified on the judgment.

You do not need to wait. However, to be safe you should confirm the date the status was entered. You should have received a document called Notice of Entry of Judgment.
