If papers are served to my spouse and he doesnt respond, do I still have to go to court to finalize my divorce? Or how would I file a default divorce and when would be the appropriate time frame ?

If he has been served, you need to go to court with a decree and ask the judge to enter it. I suggest you hire a lawyer.
