In Michigan adultery is still on the books as a crime, however it has not been prosecuted in years.

It is not against the law. Our jails couldn't hold everyone if it were. It probably constitutes irreconcilable differences for which a person can get a divorce.

Yes I believe adultery is against Michigan law but that law is generally not enforced so I would forget it.

It is against the law, but the police/State do not enforce this law for individuals for the most part, so proving it is most likely for your own peace of mind, not for someone to actually be prosecuted.

Adultery is grounds for divorce. It is not a criminal offense.
