QUESTION

Is my divorce finalized?

Asked on Dec 09th, 2014 on Divorce - California
More details to this question:
The last two status updates on county court records online are May 8, 2014 judgment received and August 18, 2014 Judgment forwarded to document examiner. Does judgment received mean that my divorce is finalized? We filed petition for dissolution back in June 2013, 1.5 years ago but my lawyer kept telling me it's not finalized. Thank you for any help you can provide.

You will know it is finalized when you see "judgment entered".

It does not sound like it has been finalized. Generally, there would be a date the Judgment is entered on the records and you would have received a filed Notice of Entry of Judgment.
