is my physically handicapped daughter entitled to alimony?

More details to this question:
My 38 yr old daughter is physically handicapped and limited in her ability to make a living. Her husband knew this when they married 8 years ago. Now he wants a divorce. There are no children. Is she entitled to any alimony? She gets SSI and that is all. EMAIL ONLY PLS.

Your daughter is absolutely entiled to spousal maintenance (alimony) as part of the divorce- even if she were NOT handicapped. Given that she is handicapped, she might be entitled to more than the statutory amount.
