Military couple

More details to this question:
We were married in NJ and both of our homes of record are in NJ. We still own both of our homes in NJ. I'm stationed in NV and he is stationed in KY. What state should I file in especially if I want to make sure my kids receive child support and help with college costs?

If you declare NJ as your state of residence, you should file in NJ.  if you have a NJ driver's license, pay NJ income tax, and have a voters registration in NJ, then file in NJ.
