QUESTION

Should a disabled person give full support to the wife?

Asked on Mar 20th, 2014 on Divorce - Florida
More details to this question:
When the husband became disabled, the wife divorced the husband and taking all the husband's money from any benefits due to him and leaving nothing at the bank. The husband has no more money for his food, medication and other needs. Is it a law to give full authority to the wife? She has no more intention to think of the disabled ex-husband's wellbeing?

My suggestion is that the husband file a motion for modification. The parties will be required to file financial affidavits and it is then all in the documents the Court will consider.
