What can I expect from this divorce?

My husband for 28 years has decided that he wants a divorce. We rent a house right now.

I am guessing there is some property to divide, pensions etc. I am guessing support for you may be an issue. I don't know if any kids would be in issue, adopted or guardian for them.

You should get spousal support and probably half of any pension or retirement and if he earns more a contribution towards your attorney fees.

You are entitled to one half of the property accumulate during the marriage, including retirement accounts and pensions along with support if the disparity in your incomes warrant it. After such a long marriage you should consult a family law attorney to review all of the facts and advise you.
