Some lawyers are willing to do only one part of a case; many others are worried about being blamed for anything which goes wrong unless they are in charge of the whole case. I don't know what a lawyer would charge for doing the initial paperwork: I have never done it, and I would not want to. But make some phone calls and ask around. However, the counties have fill-in forms to let you do it yourself. So if you are committed to doing it yourself, contact the Clerk of Court, get the papers, and fill them in.

It is impossible to tell, and will depend upon the complexity in the amount of the property and other agreements which the parties have reached. If an attorney was foolish enough to give you an answer to your question they would not bright enough for you to want to hire.

I am guessing that the cost would not exceed $500 for the paperwork. However, don?t forget that there will be a cost for the Court and service of process. Those costs might be an additional $500 total. Good luck.
