When is divorce final for tax purposes

More details to this question:
For tax purposes, is the date of my divorce the date the Judgment of Divorce was granted, or the date the signed JOD was filed with the clerk? Which one is the 'official' date?

The date the judgment was signed is the date that you were formally divorced. If you have specific questions, you might want to ask your accountant. Good luck!
