When would I receive the final decree of dissolution papers?

More details to this question:
My soon to be ex-husband is in the Army and when I went down to JAG to get all my divorce papers done, the lady there said my marriage would be over when the judge signs the papers.

That is true the divorce is done the moment the court signs the judgment. Depending upon your location some courthouses are quicker than others.

You should look at the FL-190 form which prominently lists the date the dissolution becomes final. If you have not received that form then you need to get back in touch with the court and JAG to see what needs to be done to complete the dissolution.

You should receive the notice to proceed without a hearing then a few weeks after that. You must be separated 6 months before divorce will be final.

Yes that is true. But assuming the paperwork was done correctly by JAG, you still have to file it, properly serve it on your husband, follow all the proper procedures to et it put on the Court docket and then present your case on your Court date. Instead of going to JAG you would have been much better off having an attorney do everything for you. Our firm charges $395 for uncontested divorces which includes the Court cost and fees. By the time you are done running around researching what to do and making several trips to the Court you will have spent more than $395 and had to do the work yourself. Someone will present the paperwork to the judge for signature. That will be the date the divorce is granted.

That is correct, and it would appear the order is ready to be entered so it should be shortly, check back if you do not receive your copy in two weeks.
