i got married 12 years ago in new york, the marriage did not work out and i left to return to Trinidad in the caribbean. my divorce was not finalized and i wish to get it done now, would i have to apply for a divorce here in Trinidad or do i have to get one done in New York where i got married

If you live in New York and have lived here for at least one year you can get a divorce here.
