QUESTION

Can a Sheriff just pull me over on the freeway?

Asked on Apr 14th, 2015 on DUI/DWI - California
More details to this question:
Can a Sheriff pull me over on a California freeway? Is it his jurisdiction? The officer pulled me over because he said he received a call from another driver on the road. I was given a breathalyzer 3 times. I was not able to see the readings the first 2 times and it felt like they kept me blowing until they got the result they wanted. I really can't afford to lose my license over this.

You need to hire a DUI specialist, and do it soon because you have only 10 days to save your license.

You asked this once before and I responded that this area is ripe for litigation and it depends on what the caller said and whether they identified themselves. The bottom line is he can and did pull you over. You need to fight it or you will lose got license among other things.
