Can I be charged with a DUI a week after the accident occurred?

More details to this question:
About a week ago, I was involved in a minor accident after leaving a friend's house. We had been watching football and drank a couple of beers while we watched the games. I wasn't given any field sobriety tests or anything like that. They didn't ask me to do a breathalyzer either. I got a phone call earlier today from a police officer asking if I could come in for an interview.

You can be charged. But, it will be difficult to convict where the investigating officers did not have reason to investigate intoxication.
