Can I turn myself into the jail BEFORE 12/14/2012 or is that my turn in date if I don’t sign up for work offender program?

22. Serve 16 days Fresno County jail as to count 1. 23. Court grants jail stay until 12/14/2012 at 7:00 Pm, Fresno County jail. 24. Defendant referred to adult offender work program. 25. Credit for time served 4, actual 4, goodtime/work time 0, treatment 0. This is what appears on my minute order regarding the jail time, I believe I was told I could do work offender program or do the jail time. My question is can I turn myself into the jail BEFORE 12/14/2012 or is that my turn in date if I don’t sign up for work offender program? Also I was told for the 4 days credit I will do 12 days, how many of these days you think ill actually do? Also consider Fresno jail is releasing approx. 50 inmates a day on early release.

I do not know about Fresno County but it is best to surrender on the date the Judge set.

That is your date to surrender to the work program. You would have to ask to add your case back onto the court calendar to modify the order. Call your attorney. You should probably get half time, on 16 days you would do 8 I am not clear if it was 16 days in addition or total. I f it was total l you have half of your time done so you would only have to do 4 more days in jail.
