Get a lawyer. You are facing possible suspension of your license for a very longtime.

You need to hire a DUI specialist, and do it soon because you have only 10 days to save your license. If there was a child in the car you may be facing child endangerment, which can be a felony.

The arresting officer really piled it on. When I see this happen, the first thing to come to mind is that the defendant (in this case you), must have been a real jerk to the police officer. I would bet I would be right. The DUI and reckless driving are each punishable by up top a year in jail and a $5,000.00. The other charges are each punishable by a maximum of 90 days and a $1,000.00 fine... so jail time could be substantial. You are also looking at possible loss of license until you are 21, followed by the installation of an interlock device for at least a year. There are also numerous other penalties and requirements a judge could impose. You really need an attorney to help you with this.

Hire a lawyer. Your case is complex and hard to beat or minimize without a lawyer on scene knowing all the facts.

Most of these are criminal charges and the fines and costs will be determined by the judge once you are found guilty either by a plea or at trial. You are looking at literally well over a thousand dollars in fines, court cost, driver's responsibility fees, as well as cost of probation. The type of deal you get or sentence you end up with will be depending on what county You are in, what the policy of the local prosecutor's office is, and how the judge usually handle such cases. It will be much worse since you are underage and if you had a minor in the car which is an aggravated factor and a heightened charge. The best thing you can do is invest in an inexperienced Michigan OWI attorney to do serious damage control.
