What happens after being convicted?

More details to this question:
If convicted under the super drunk law is it a requirement that you complete 12 months aa or counseling and if so does the judge rule this or your probation officer makes it part of your probation?

The judge rules it and it is made part of probation.

It depends on the Judge. Probation along with AA will probably happen. You could be forced to attend out patient counseling, which is about 3 hours a session for several months. Your license to drive is suspended for 45 days, then you can drive with an interlock device in your auto, at your expense, however, only to work, school, probation, treatment AA. No going shopping or to the grocery store, unless you go to perhaps a Meijer to get gas, leave your car by the gas station and walk over to Meijer. You won't be able to drink while on probation, or take any illegal drugs. If you have a medical marijuana card, some Judges may allow you to continue your medication, others do not.
