If you get convicted and go to jail then your boss will probably find out. the court does not go out of it's way to tell the employers.

Neither the court nor the police will notify your employer of your DUI. However, you may need to be in court for your case and may have to explain why you are not at work. In addition, there is a possible jail sentence if you are convicted and you may have to explain why you are not at work. I suggest that you retain the best DUI attorney you can afford.

Who is "they" that you refer to? If you mean the courts or the police, the answer is no. They will only notify you of court dates. Can your boss find out? Yes, he can. However, it's unlikely unless he is specifically looking for such information. The police reports and court cases are a matter of public record that anyone can access. But your boss wouldn't know to be looking for your DUI case unless he found out about it some other way. Someone that knows could have told him or perhaps he could have seen you at court being arraigned, etc. It's possible he could find out, but not likely.

It is uncommon for employers to find out about DUI arrests. We have been handling DUI case, exclusively for over 15 years and only once did we have an employer find out. In that case a soldier's commanding officer was called the evening of the arrest, the police wanted to damage the soldiers career in addition to putting him through the humiliation of being arrested, fingerprinted, photographed, interrogated and the other inhumane aspects of being arrested for suspicion of DUI.

You need to hire a DUI specialist, and do it soon because you have only 10 days to save your license. If you don't listen to this advice, then yes, you will have to eventually tell your boss that you got convicted of a DUI.

If you were arrested for DUI neither the court nor the agency would notify your employer. However, that does not mean that you boss may not find out through other sources. For example, if you are on a company insurance policy or drive during the course of your employment and your employer checks the driving record, it may be reflected on your Colorado driving record.

An arrest for a dui is a public record. However, unless someone tells your boss, or he goes and checks with the court where you are prosecuted, he will normally not find out. One caveat, some local local newspapers do report arrests, so that is something to be concerned with.

Generally, the courts do not notify the employer of employees conditions. That does not mean that you will not find out from other employees or public records. If driving records are checked because you periodically drive and are insured and company vehicles, the next time the insurance company pulls the records your conviction will be noted.
