QUESTION

How can my aunt evict her grandson from her property?

Asked on Mar 31st, 2021 on Elder Law - Florida
More details to this question:
She’s in her 70s and is afraid of her grandson. He refuses to pay for anything and won’t leave. Even the police wouldn’t remove him because he claims it is his residence since getting out of prison. He learned how to work the legal issues while incarcerated and is using it to live off her like a parasite. How can we get him out?

Your aunt can bring a suit for "wrongful detainer" in small claims or justice of the peace court and hire the sheriff to enforce the judge's eviction order.  She may also want to change the locks, lock the gates and post "no trespassing" signs.
