More details to this question:
Mother 93, very hyper walked every day she was there, never missed meals, called me 8 10 a day..May 10th, she was never seen nor heard of all day, I couldn;'t get her to answer the phone, called the office after every meal, they would tell her, first she was outside..Anyway to make this shorter, after dinner, Jen said she hadn't showed up come to think of it for dinner or lunch, she and a guy there Rob or Jerry, would check on her, and call me back. They did, said I needed to come down there, she was on her side, had messed on herself, saying the phone was messed up, I called, Joann, her back and said to Jen "Don't you think you need to call am ambulance" she said no, I really don't know what I would tell them, we just needed to come...we did, they left her just like that in the dark, she still had her gown and underware on, bad mess, on her side, I imm. told Clarence to call them and call an amublance..Rob said, no I hadn't seen her walking today, thAt should have been a red flag!

In order to sue the nursing home, you mother needed to have suffered some kind of permanent injuries as a result of the negligence. Since you did not describe any, I am assuming that this was a one day affair and she was okay. You can file a complaint with the Division of Health Care Facilities for the Department of Health. You might also look at moving her to another facility if that is an option.
