QUESTION

What can I do?

Asked on Feb 25th, 2020 on Elder Law - Tennessee
More details to this question:
Grandmother is possibly being financially and verbally abused by my father's wife. She has confided in me and would want to move in with me. She has been diagnosed with dementia but I believe she is in early stages. She lives in a different state and I want to be able to help her get a hold of her social security, etc and help her move in with me. I am willing to go get her. I just don't know the steps to do it legally and safely. She is 70.

You may want to consult with an elder lawyer.  You can locate one near you using the Find a Lawyer function on the website of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (www.naela.org).

This is general information. It cannot substitute for a personal consultation with an attorney. It is not intended to be legal advice or imply an attorney-client relationship.
