QUESTION

Does an agreement become void if one party stops responding after repeating attempts to contact them?

More details to this question:
Two weeks ago I signed an agreement/contract from a digital record label from Poland to release two of my songs. The agreement was emailed to me, signed and emailed back in pdf format. Well since then I have not heard back from them even after several emails. Another label contacted me and said they would like to sign my two songs. If I resigned with another label, would there be any type of problems. And if there would be, what can I do to avoid those problems. Thanks

Whether you would have a problem with the Poland record label depends on the terms of the contract you signed. This could be complicated because it could involve the law of Poland, in which case you would need to find a lawyer familiar with Polish law to see if you can get out of that contract. Be sure to have an attorney review all contacts before you sign them, because it could be difficult or expensive to get out of one if there weren't terms that allow you to terminate.
