In California, a teen may become emancipated if they get married with permission of their parents and of the court of if they joined the military with permission of their parents or if they receive a declaration of emancipation from a judge. To get the emancipation from a judge, the minor must be at least 14 years old, must not want to live with the parents and the parents don't mind if they move out, must be able to handle their own money, must be employed and have a legal way to make money. However, an emancipated minor must still go to school and cannot get married without their parents' permission. An emancipated minor can apply for their own work permit, sign themselves up for school or college, and get medical care. It sounds like you may likely qualify, but what is the rush, when in 2 months you will have this with no court procedure?
