What can an athlete do if a sponsor doesn't honor their deal? How?

I am a professional surfer and I signed a four year deal with a major surf company. But this company has backed out on everything they have promised and I would be better suited riding for someone else. What should I do?

You should hire a lawyer. The rights and remedies will be dictated by the terms of your contract. If there is no written contract they will be governed by your state contract law.
