More details to this question:
my son reported to his camp that I hit him with a shoe. He apparently reported to them that I hit him at other occasions. The camp called DYFS to child report abuse. After meeting with DYFS and establishing that he was not hit with a shoe but with the open hand on the butt. DYFS worker reported that the case will be closed soon after speaking with his doctors. DYFS worker reported that the case will be filed under new 4 tier system of "not established" what does that mean. Will it stay on my record forever and can I work with children, adopt or foster a child etc.? and will this affect my future Social Worker Licensure? What should I do next?
Not established means that they investigated the allegations, and that proof of child abuse was not established. Anyone can have a claim made against them, but the results of this claim were that the investigation did not establish that child abuse had occurred.
