QUESTION

can a divorce case be re-opened ?

Asked on Feb 10th, 2015 on Divorce - New Mexico
More details to this question:
My divorce was final over a year a go. I had to be pro-se because my ex-and his lawyers made it impossible to get a lawyer. I was not mentally stable to go forward with a divorce let alone be my own lawyer. can I have it re-opened on grounds of mental instability. I had'nt adjusted that my husband of 12 years wanted a divorce, my mother died shortly after he asked for the divorce, and my aunt was murdered a few months after that. Also I was on heavy pychotropics and pain meds that was making me depressed but also making me feel as if I was crazy.

It may be difficult to re-open your case. However if you want to, talk to an attorney immediately. Some issues require that they be raised within one year of the final documents being filed.
