Can CPS drug test me if I don't have anything to do with my girlfriend's case and already told me that I don't need to be on the case? We just had a newborn and he is in our custody but her daughter is in foster care. Can they tell me I can't be around him till they piss test me if they have no reason to? They already said they wouldn't involve our son if he came out with nothing in his system and he was clean of everything. Can they tell me I can't be alone with my son till I'm piss tested? I don't even do drugs. They are going off of my past. I'll take the piss test but I still want to know if they can do that?

Absolutely they can do a UA if you have contact with the child at issue which by definition you do if you and the mother have a child together. Your past is relevant and if indeed you're clean now, you have nothing to worry about.

If they have custody of your son, then they can deny you visitation until you comply.
