I suppose it would be nice if you could do that, but if he wants to be part of the child's life and he is stable, non-violent and is not addicted, chances are he will be in yours and your son's life for at least the next 18 years. That is the law. So as much as you are angry with him, your son and you will be better off if you can at least be civil with the father and work out a custody arrangement when the child is born. And don't deprive the father of the privilege of paying child support.
