Can I change order of visitation?

Asked on Nov 26th, 2017 on Child Custody - New York
More details to this question:
I have an order of visitation where I have to drive to where my sons father lives and he takes him for the weekend. My sons father lives about two hours away from me. But my sons father only sees him for a couple hours on Sunday and sometimes threatens to keep him. How Can I change visitation so he has to drive to where we live or at least meet us half away?

You can file for a modification of parental time and request that the father meets half way. This might be an easy modification as long as he does not contest it, then you might need or should retain a lawyer.   Above answer and comments to questions are for general purposes only and does not constitute legal advice or establishes an attorney-client relationship without a signed retainer. Please reach out to an attorney you are comfortable with working and discussing your case in more details.
