Can I get child support for an unborn child?

More details to this question:
I am 21 years old, only been with 1 man ever in my life. I got pregnant, once I told my now x-boyfriend that he needed to step up and help me pay for this baby that he helped create he left me. Before he ever mention anything about leaving me we talked I asked him to help me pay for the medical expenses as I this pregnancy isn't covered by my insurance and I only work part time. He at that tim verbally agreed to give me $50.00 a week and did so for several weeks I also asked him to take parenting classes with me and he said a resounding no, he already knew how to be a dad (which is doesn't). I asked him if he would take child birth classes with me and he said no as well. A short time later he moved out. Can I take him to court now for child support, I have never been with another man before or after him.

You will have to wait until the child is born to initiate a child support action. I suggest you contact child support enforcement (department of revenue) after the child is born.
