QUESTION

Can I get custody and how much will it cost?

Asked on Dec 16th, 2015 on Child Custody - California
More details to this question:
My son is 5 and his biological father has been in and out of jail for various drug charges. He is currently in prison for two years. And has never been there for our son.. Never paid child support or anything like that. Can I get full custody of my son? And how much is this going to cost me? I don't know if it matters but I got married in August. My husband is a marine, the biological father is in another state.

You can get custody orders. Court costs would be about $550-600 including service costs. Attorneys fees should range from $2500 and up depending upon the attorney you choose.
