More details to this question:
I am 13 years old. I turn 14 in a month and I don't want to live with my mom anymore. And its not just some "my mom is mean. I hate her" kind of thing. She mentally abuses me, screams in my face, and takes all her bipolar and depression out on me and my sister. She rarely ever physically abuses me, but it HAS happened. And I'm scared it will happen again. Most of my family lives in PA and I visit them about twice a year. I have a cousin there who is in a independent program. She lives with a roommate and has a job and is doing really good on her own. I am trying to find out if I could do something similar to that. I know I'm really young, but I've been left alone at the house SEVERAL times and I mostly take care of myself. About 85% of the time, I'm the one walking my sister to school and making meals and helping my sister with her homework. I can take care of myself. And you can ask anybody that knows me, they will tell you how I'm very mature for my age. I just wanna be on my own.

I agree with you that you have been abused - esp. because of your mother's being bipolar and she may not be taking her medication properly or not at all - you should talk to a counselor at school. For immediate help, you could call the Flroida Abuse Hotline and report to them about your situation. Their number is 1-800-96ABUSE. They will help you.
