I have physical custody of my son, my ex and I have joint legal. We live in Louisiana. We moved back here from Illinois when his grandmother got sick, I have no family or friends here and I want to go back home. Our son has been sick since we arrived here and the doctors say that it is the environment, he has developed asthma and has been in the hospital 11 times. I have a very good paying job waiting for me in Illinois.

You didn't say which state issued the judgment. If it's LA, you'll need to give proper notice to your ex and possibly obtain court authority.
