Can my babies father get me for Slander?

More details to this question:
My name is Shauna. I am five weeks pregnant and my baby father said that if I use his last name for our child that he is going to get me for slander because he believes that the baby isn't his over rumors being spread. Is that possible?

No. That's ridiculous. But so is using his last name if you're not married.

No. Once the child is born, the father can seek a paternity test. You might not be able to use his name on the birth certificate until paternity is established. Consider filing an action to establish paternity and receive child support as soon as the baby is born. You can do this in the family court for the county where you reside.
