Ex husband owes thousands in arrears We have a 15 year old son At one point he owed close to 20k I removed several thousand last summer so that he would stop harassing me and mentioning this to our son Now he owes approximately 5k or so and hired a lawyer to take me to court and give up parental rights so that he can have our son with him. My son is a good student and takes bible study and attends ministry with me. I am not remarried and do not date not in over 8 years My sole focus is my son I am currently not working but on disability and infusion but that does not interfere with getting him to school and back and his activities or any of his needs. Thanks
Based on the information you providided, there is no basis for a petition to terminate your parental rights. It's likely that the petition filed is a petition to modify the previous order. He may be asking that the child live with him, but it's not likely that he's asking the court to terminate your parental rights.
